Retail intelligence,
independently built.
Retail Brands is a platform for tracking, scoring, and understanding consumer brands — built for investors, operators, and analysts who need a sharper view of the market.
What we do
Every week, we track hundreds of consumer brands across fashion, beauty, sport, luxury, and lifestyle — scoring each one on a proprietary Brand Attractiveness framework that combines 40 DNA categories across four strategic dimensions.
We publish that scoring as a live index, updated weekly, alongside editorial intelligence covering the signals driving brand momentum: hiring patterns, geographic expansion, product strategy, sustainability posture, financial health, and more.
Our goal is simple: to make the kind of brand intelligence that was previously locked inside expensive consulting mandates available as a clear, structured, continuously updated product.
Who it’s for
Competitive positioning, market signals, and self-assessment tools.
Tenant evaluation, mall-fit scoring, and leasing decision support.
Sector benchmarks, category trends, and cross-brand comparisons.
Diligence support, brand health monitoring, and portfolio tracking.
Structured data, weekly updates, and exportable brand scores.
Fast, structured context on any brand before a mandate begins.
The product
Retail Brands is structured around four core offerings:
A live, scored ranking of hundreds of consumer brands, updated weekly. Each brand carries a points score, stage classification (Emerging → Mature → Distressed), and movement delta.
A free weekly newsletter covering the brands moving most in the index, with context on why. Every Monday.
Deeper analysis published periodically on themes, categories, and individual brands. Available to Pro subscribers.
A dedicated dashboard for brands to monitor their own score, track competitors, receive alerts, and query an AI assistant trained on Retail Brands data.
How we score brands
Our scoring methodology is built on 40 Brand DNA categories, 13 evaluation layers, and 4 strategic dimensions. It is based on the Retail Brand Score (RBS) framework, developed independently and applied consistently across all brands in the index.
